Enlarge images without uploading them
Small images look soft the moment you scale them up: a browser just stretches each pixel. An upscaler does better — the AI engine here reconstructs plausible edges and texture at 2× or 4×, so an old avatar, a product photo or a logo you only have small can be used at a bigger size.
It all happens in your browser. The model weights are fetched once and cached; your picture is never sent anywhere, which matters when you're enlarging an ID photo, a document scan or unreleased artwork. If the model can't run — an image far too large, or a device without the memory — the fast engine takes over automatically and the result tells you which one produced it.

Is the AI upscaler really free, with no signup?

Why does it download something the first time?
The AI engine needs its model — roughly 40–60 MB — which is fetched once and then cached by your browser, so later upscales start immediately and even work offline. Prefer not to wait? Choose the Fast engine, which needs no download at all.
What's the difference between upscaling and resizing?
Resizing changes the pixel dimensions, usually downwards, and never invents detail. Upscaling goes the other way: it enlarges and tries to reconstruct the detail that a small image doesn't contain, which is why it needs a model to do well.
Is there a size limit?
The AI engine works on images up to about 1.2 megapixels at 2× (roughly 1400×850) and 0.4 at 4× — beyond that it would run out of memory, so the fast engine handles it instead and the result says so. Large images rarely need upscaling anyway.
Does it keep transparency?
Yes, when you export as PNG or WebP. Exporting as JPG flattens transparent areas onto white, because JPG has no alpha channel.
Are my files uploaded to a server?
No. Every conversion and edit happens inside your own browser using your device's processing power. Your files never leave your computer or phone, which makes this safe for IDs, bank statements, contracts and other private documents.
